Background experience
I am a Clinical Psychologist with 15 years qualified experience of working across a range of inpatient and outpatient NHS settings. I have worked within the field of neuropsychology and specifically acquired brain injury and challenging behaviours since 2010. I worked as Lead Psychologist in a regional NHS specialist secure brain injury services for six years, and latterly have worked within as Principal Clinical Psychologist within a community neuro rehabilitation team for the last three years.
I have extensive experience of conducting neuropsychological assessments and interventions with patients with brain injury and a forensic history and / or risk and challenging behaviours. I am also able to offer consultancy regarding risk assessment and care pathway planning for patients with forensic and / or risk history.
I have extensive experience of working therapeutically with clients with mood and adjustment difficulties after brain injury or other neurological conditions (including multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons, stroke and functional neurological disorders), challenging behaviour, social skills and emotional regulation difficulties.
I regularly supervise doctoral trainee clinical psychologists within the North West.

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology – University of Lancaster
PgDip – Clinical Neuropsychology- university of Glasgow
Part one and two EMDR Europe Standard Accredited Training – EMDR Academy
