Dr Lindsay Shannon

Background experience

I completed my Psychology degree at the University of Liverpool in 2013 and went on to complete clinical psychology doctorate training at Lancaster University in 2020. Throughout this time, I have gained clinical experience in both residential and community neuro-rehabilitation and also provided assessment and intervention within both inpatient and outpatient neuropsychology services.

I have supported neuropsychological assessments in the medico-legal field since 2014 and have particular experience in traumatic brain injury on which I also conducted my doctorate thesis. I am passionate about supporting individuals and their families with the often life-changing consequences of a neurological condition.

I have recently published on the application of psychological therapy following traumatic brain injury, and have experience in supporting psychological adjustment to other neurological conditions such as stroke and multiple sclerosis. I am currently completing my post-graduate diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology.
